About the Scottish Health Council
The Scottish Health Council was set up to make sure that the views of patients, carers and the public are properly taken into account by the NHS. It does this mainly by assessing how effectively NHS Boards involve their local communities in planning and providing health services. It also advises NHS Boards on how they can give patients a greater say in their health services. The Scottish Health Council, which is independent from the NHS Boards it assesses, also reports on how well NHS Boards have consulted with their local communities when they plan significant service changes.

Once you register with our website, you will receive support from the Scottish Health Council, and you can contact them with any questions or queries.
